GDC RS Pura participates in Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan Foundation Day celebration

RS PURA, Apr 10: The NSS and NCC units of Government Degree College (GDC) R.S. Pura actively participated in the Foundation Day celebrations of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, held on April 10, 2025. The college's involvement in the event was carried out under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college.
The event, organized by Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, brought together yoga practitioners, local dignitaries, community members, and enthusiastic participants from various walks of life. The celebration aimed to highlight the organization's continued efforts to promote yoga and holistic well-being across the country.
Students from GDC R.S. Pura, including NSS volunteers and NCC cadets, participated with great zeal. Led by local community leaders, the college's delegation conveyed its strong support for the mission of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan and emphasized the relevance of yoga in today's fast-paced lifestyle.
The program featured demonstrations of traditional yoga postures, wellness sessions, and informative seminars by expert yoga practitioners. These sessions shed light on the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga, promoting it as a vital part of everyday living.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Preetpal Kour remarked, "We are proud to stand alongside Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan in its pursuit to enrich lives through yoga. Events like these reinforce our region's commitment to well-being and community health. We look forward to more such collaborative efforts."
The event was successfully coordinated by Sh. Surinder Gupta, Jila Parmukh of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, while Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch, Head of the Dogri Department, supervised the participation of the NSS and NCC teams from the college. The day concluded on a positive note, inspiring all participants to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.
