KATHUA, Apr 10: Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua organized a highly impactful Career Guidance and Counselling Session for students who have recently appeared in their Class 10 board examinations and are provisionally admitted to Class 11. The session aimed at guiding students in selecting the most suitable stream and subject combination based on their interests, aptitude and future career goals.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who were eager to gain clarity about the diverse career paths available in Medical, Non-Medical and Arts streams.
Mrs. Rashi and Mrs. Sakshi provided in-depth insights into the Medical stream, highlighting career opportunities in MBBS, BDS, Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedical Sciences. They also emphasized the importance of a strong foundation in Biology and Chemistry for aspiring doctors and healthcare professionals.
For students inclined toward Engineering and Technology, Mrs. Tanvi and Mr. Romesh elaborated on the Non-Medical stream, focusing on subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They discussed career options such as B.Tech, Architecture, Data Science and Defence Services, inspiring students to pursue innovation-driven fields.
Adding a rich perspective on the Arts stream, Principal Mr. Riti Prakash Singh addressed the students with a powerful presentation on the scope of subjects like Geography, Political Science and Hindi. He highlighted the vast avenues open to Arts students, including careers in civil services, journalism, law, education, public administration and more. His words encouraged students to see the Arts stream as a gateway to leadership, creativity and societal change.
Students found the session extremely enlightening and many shared that they now feel more confident and informed in choosing their stream and subjects. The school management thanked the faculty for their guidance and reiterated its commitment to providing a nurturing environment for academic and personal growth.
