SAMBA, Apr 10: In a continued crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police seized eight dumpers engaged in the unlawful transportation of construction material in areas under the jurisdiction of Police Stations Ghagwal and Samba.
The action was taken during routine patrolling by police teams led by SHO Police Station Ghagwal, Incharge Police Post Rajpura (PS Ghagwal), and Incharge Police Post Mansar (PS Samba). The seized dumpers-bearing registration numbers JK21G-9285, JK02CS-7032, JK21D-0670, JK21K-9905, JK02AV-6145, JK21G-6926, JK21G-7817, and JK21G-5325-were found transporting construction material without proper authorization.
All vehicles involved have been seized and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal proceedings. Samba Police has reiterated its commitment to curbing illegal mining and warned of strict action against violators. |
