Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Apr 10: In a significant step towards rural development, Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member Pandit Suresh Sharma today inaugurated multiple roads in Panchayat Kathar of Block Maira Mandrian. The inaugurated roads-Kamani Road, Kah Road, Petra Road, and Baloa Road-were constructed at a cost of ?34 lakhs and mark the fulfillment of long-pending demands of the local population.
For years, residents of these areas faced considerable hardships due to the absence of paved roads. Acknowledging their concerns, Suresh Sharma had recently facilitated the approval and execution of these crucial infrastructure projects. While addressing the public during the inauguration ceremony, Suresh Sharma reaffirmed his commitment to the mission of connecting every village and locality with quality roads. He assured that the remaining work on Kamani Road and Kah Road will be completed within this year.
Highlighting the broader vision of development, Sharma said, "Under the dynamic leadership of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is witnessing an unprecedented era of infrastructure growth. From expressways and national highways to major bridges and tunnels, development is in full swing. In line with this vision, we are working relentlessly to ensure even our rural areas get concrete and durable roads." He further shared that several major road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and NABARD have already been approved and will soon be visible on the ground in Block Maira Mandrian and Chowki Choura.
The event was attended by several prominent BJP leaders and local dignitaries including Ram Lal Sharma, Chanchal Singh, Akshay Magotra, Bodh Raj, Captain Rampal Sharma, Subedar Prem Chand, Ram Rattan, Kuldeep Raj, Ram Lal, Nanak Chand, Sukhdev Sharma, Satpal, Pritam Lal, Kuldeep Kumar, Ram Prakash, Sukhdev Raj, Mahesh Kumar, along with departmental officials and other community members.
