4/10/2025 10:20:24 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: In a significant breakthrough, Janipur police led by SHO Janipur Insp Vikram Sharma and Investigation officer Manzoor Ahmad Wani have successfully attached a double-story house situated at Paloura, valued at approximately Rs 45 lac, belonging to notorious drug peddler Vinod Kumar @Kuda S/o Joginder Paul R/o Dogra Hall Jammu. The property was acquired through proceeds from narcotics trade and has been attached under Section 68 F of the NDPS Act. Vinod Kumar has been arrested four times with narcotics in police stations Bakshi Nagar, Pacca Danga, and Janipur, showcasing his involvement in the illicit trade. Vinod Kumar is a nightmare for the parents of vulnerable children.
Investigations revealed that the Paloura house is a benami property, purchased with funds generated from narcotics trade.
Vinod Kumar @ Kuda lacks any legitimate family business or job that could justify the purchase of such a palatial house.
The attached property will be sent to SAFEMA New Delhi for confirmation, further solidifying the case against Vinod Kumar.
The Janipur police's decisive action against Vinod Kumar @Kuda demonstrates their commitment to tackling the narcotics trade and its financiers. By attaching the benami property, the police aim to disrupt the financial networks supporting the illicit trade.
The attached property's confirmation by SAFEMA New Delhi will be a crucial step in the case, potentially leading to further confiscation and forfeiture of property of Vinod Kumar acquired through drug peddling.
This operation highlights the determination of the Janipur police, under the supervision of SDPO City West Jammu Dr Satish Bhardwaj JKPS, SP City North Sh Vivek Sharma JKPS and overall supervision of SSP Jammu Sh Joginder Singh JKPS to combat the narcotics trade and its negative impact on society under the zero tolerance policy against drugs and it's peddling.
