Vijaypur, Apr 10: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur conducted an essay writing competition on the theme “The Consequences of Drug Abuse” under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht.
Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Nodal Officer of the campaign, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal briefed the participants on the theme and guidelines. Students enthusiastically participated, expressing their views on the harmful effects of drug abuse and proposing strategies for prevention.
The competition served as a platform for students to reflect on the psychological, social, and health-related consequences of addiction. Dr. Vashisht lauded the efforts of the participants and the organizing team for spreading awareness.
Winners of the competition were:
• 1st Prize: Palak Panotra (B.A Sem IV)
• 2nd Prize: Amit Kumar (B.A Sem VI)
• 3rd Prize: Shravan Jamwal (B.A Sem II)
The event was coordinated by Dr. Bhagat and supported by Dr. Arti Sharma, Dr. Manoj Heer, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Anjana Raina, and Ms. Pooja Devi. The competition was judged by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Prof. Mamta Gupta, and Prof. Meetu Sharma. |
