GDC Bishnah bids heartfelt farewell to outgoing batch

BISHNAH, Apr 11: The 4th semester students of Government Degree College (GDC), Bishnah organized a warm and emotional farewell party on April 11, 2025, to honor their seniors of the 6th semester. The college premises were beautifully decorated, creating a festive ambiance brimming with nostalgia and celebration.
The event commenced with a soulful invocation seeking divine blessings for the graduating students. The Principal of the college, Dr. Shallu Samyal, graced the occasion and congratulated the final-year students for successfully completing their academic journey. In her address, she encouraged them to embrace future challenges with confidence and determination.
Prof. Anju Bala, Dean Student Welfare, also addressed the gathering, extending her best wishes to the outgoing batch. She appreciated their contributions to the college and motivated them to continue striving for excellence in their lives ahead.
One of the major attractions of the farewell was the Mr. and Ms. GDC Bishnah 2025 contest. Final-year students showcased their talents and confidence through multiple rounds, with Gurpreet Bhagat and Priyanka winning the coveted titles of Mr. and Ms. GDC Bishnah 2025 respectively.
The event was further enlivened with a variety of cultural performances, including dances, songs, and poetry, beautifully reflecting the vibrant life of the college. The college also took the opportunity to recognize outstanding students in various domains:

Best Sportsperson: Akarsh Sharma
Best Dancer: Khushi Devi and Priyanka
Best Vocalist: Anjali Devi and Janvi Bhagat
Best in Academics: Disha Meenia (Arts) and Tarru Bharti (Science)
Most Promising Student of the College: Vansh Dadwal
These students were felicitated for their exceptional contributions during their time at the college.
The outgoing students shared emotional speeches, expressing their gratitude to the faculty and juniors, reminiscing their memorable years at GDC Bishnah. The farewell concluded with a group photo session, followed by refreshments and music, leaving everyone with smiles, memories, and heartfelt goodbyes.
