| “Tatva” Exhibition by JD Institute of Fashion Technology | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 18- JD Institute of Fashion Technology organized its Annual Exhibition-cum-sale “TATVA “at their campus in Trikuta Nagar here today. The First Lady of the state Usha Vohra inaugurated the exhibition. She took a round at the exhibition and had an interaction with the students and the faculty members. Addressing on the occasion, she encouraged the students and wished them a very bright future, emphasizing that the JD Institute must also provide avenues to the economically backward aspirants in some way or the other and that fashion should be affordable to all. As a symbolic opening to the Live T-Shirt designing contest, she painted a T-shirt also. The exhibits put up for display at the exhibition were the creations of the students of the Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Textile Designing and jewellery designing courses. The exhibited items included kurtis, Bedcovers, Bed sheets, T-shirts, Decorative pots, Paintings, Furniture items, Fashion jewellery and various other items. All the products displayed were highly creative but very practical and at very reasonable costs. Maansi Gupta, centre Director said that the students have come out with creations of exemplary nature. Seeing such exemplary work, she decided that very soon JD jammu would start its very own designer outlet where its students would be the designers. The Centre Manager Ms Neena Sharma said that the theme of the exhibition was kept Tatva-The Elements to commemorate Earth Day which is on 23rd of April. Those who missed the exhibition today can see the same tomorrow as it would continue on Sunday, the 19th of April also from 11 am - 6 pm at the institute premises.
