| Army organizes 2-day medical camp at Satowali | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 18- The Miran Sahib Battalion under the aegis of Tiger Division organized 2-day medical camp at Satowali ground with a view to provide quality medical facilities to locals of border areas. The camp was inaugurated by Brig Lalitt Pande, He emphasized the importance of organizing such camps to benefit the villagers who were facing problems in getting medical facilities. The medical team comprised of doctors from Army and Civil Hospital which included pediatrician, Gynecologist, ENT, Dental and Eye Specialist. Separate stands were created for ladies and health education was conducted for them by the lady medical officer covering prevention and control of common diseases. A wet canteen was set up for the patients waiting for their turn and movies regarding health education were screened at the Camp. Counters for overall health and awareness, family planning and immunization were specially catered for. General Officer Commanding Tiger Division paid a visit to the various stands and interacted with the patients, doctors and prominent locals of the area who attended the camp. Approximately 1350 patients were examined by the doctors and medicines were distributed to the locals free of cost.
