Sunderbani Premier League Cricket Tournament concludes with Grand Finale

RAJOURI, Apr 15: In a remarkable display of unity, sportsmanship, and youth empowerment, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Sunderbani Cricket Association, successfully concluded the Sunderbani Premier League Cricket Tournament on April 14, 2025, in the Sunderbani region of Rajouri district.
The month-long cricketing extravaganza, which commenced on March 16, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 14 teams from across the region. The tournament served as a vibrant platform for young talents to exhibit their skills and passion for the sport while fostering community engagement and regional development.
The grand finale of the tournament was contested between BPS Blasters and Knight Riders, with the BPS Blasters emerging victorious. The winning team was felicitated by the Indian Army and awarded a cash prize of ?1,00,000 along with the prestigious winner's trophy. The runners-up received ?50,000 as recognition of their commendable performance.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Indian Army congratulated all participating teams and emphasized the transformative power of sports in shaping the character and discipline of youth. They highlighted the tournament as a symbol of harmony, resilience, and community bonding.
The Sunderbani Premier League was more than just a sporting event-it was a celebration of potential and promise. Through initiatives like these, the Indian Army continues to inspire and nurture the next generation, using sports as a catalyst for personal growth and positive social change.
