Early Times Report

Anantnag, Apr 17: Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board and BJP National Executive Member, presided over a spirited Ambedkar Jayanti celebration organized by the BJP at the Dak Bunglow lawns in Anantnag today. The event honored Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy as chief architect of India’s Constitution and champion of social justice.
In her keynote address, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi paid tribute to Ambedkar Ji’s lifelong fight for equality, observing, “We take pride in building our nation on the constitutional principles he bequeathed us. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, we have witnessed a golden era of reinforcing constitutional spirit in every sphere of governance and public life.” She noted that while “Congress & Company” has decried threats to the Constitution over the past eleven years, the Modi government in fact introduced Samvidhan Divas and has strengthened India’s constitutional framework. Speakers highlighted Ambedkar Ji’s pivotal role in ensuring social justice, expanding educational access, and safeguarding the rights of marginalized communities. They vowed to carry his message of equality and inclusion to the grassroots through ongoing BJP outreach programs.
Prominent BJP leaders at the ceremony included District President Rakesh Koul, ST Morcha UT President Chowdhary Roshan, General Secretary Adil Hussain Nengroo, Vice President Pinka Malik, and party stalwarts G N Dar, Maqbool Ganai, and Dr Amin Bhat. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to translating Ambedkar’s vision into tangible progress for all sections of society.
