GDC Mahanpur Celebrates 7th Edition of Poshan Pakhwada

Mahanpur, Apr 17: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Mahanpur, in collaboration with the Departments of Economics and Dogri, celebrated the 7th Edition of Poshan Pakhwada from April 8 to April 23, 2025. As part of the nationwide initiative aimed at promoting nutritional awareness, the college organized a vibrant rally and poster-making competition on April 17 within the campus.
The event was organized by Dr. Sapna Devi under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sangeeta Sudan. The initiative aligns with the government’s mission to build a “Suposhit Bharat” (Nutritious India), with a strong focus on the health and nutrition of women and children.
Poshan Pakhwada 2025 also encourages family participation and emphasizes the use of mobile applications to help individuals monitor and improve their nutritional progress.
The program saw the active participation of over 30 students, who engaged in spreading awareness through posters and slogans during the rally. Staff members who supported and participated in the event included Dr. Mohinder Nath Sharma, Ms. Nisha Kumari, Dr. Babli, Dr. Anju Bala, Dr. Yograj, Dr. Nishu, Dr. Suhail Ahmed Dar, Dr. Hilal, and Prof. Abinash Sharma.
The event reflected the collective enthusiasm and commitment of both faculty and students toward fostering a healthier, more nutrition-conscious society.
The entire program was coordinated and hosted by Dr. Sapna Devi, receiving appreciation from all quarters for its smooth execution and impactful message.
