ADC reviews arrangements for Hajj Pilgrimage 2025

KISHTWAR, Apr 17: A meeting to review the arrangements for the Hajj Pilgrimage 2025 was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pawan Kotwal.
The Hajj Incharge apprised the ADC that a total of 33 pilgrims from District Kishtwar will be undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year. The pilgrims are scheduled to depart from Kishtwar to Hajj House Srinagar on May 12, 2025.
The meeting deliberated on various logistical and administrative aspects related to the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. The ADC urged the Police Authorities to ensure adequate security arrangements for the pilgrims.
It was informed that vaccination for the pilgrims is scheduled from April 20, 2025 to April 25, 2025.
The Chief Medical Officer was directed to provide an ambulance along with a doctor to accompany the pilgrims to the Hajj House Srinagar.
The ADC also reviewed other necessary arrangements including currency exchange facilities, transportation, and boarding arrangements at Islamia Faridia School.
The ADC emphasized coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure hassle-free and safe travel for the pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by ACR Idrees Lone; SDM Chatroo Nayeem Ur Rahman; Dy. Registrar Cooperative Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal; Tehsildar Nirbhay Sharma; Dy. SP Headquarters Dr. Ishan Gupta; Hajj Incharge, members of the Hajj Committee and officials from banks and other concerned departments.
