Early Times Report

POONCH, Apr 17: District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal reviewed the ongoing progress and activities at Raja Sukhdev District Hospital at a meeting held today in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office complex.
The DDC initiated the meeting with a comprehensive evaluation of achievements under various health schemes, focusing on the hospital’s functioning, addressing issues and grievances related to the department, upgrading infrastructure, and enhancing healthcare services for patients.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Medical Superintendent (MS) of the Hospital provided a detailed briefing on the health services and achievements recorded by the hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner assessed different operational aspects, including services offered in outpatient (OPD) and inpatient departments (IPD), major and minor surgeries, laboratory tests, institutional deliveries, 108 ambulance services, and staff rationalization.
The meeting also addressed issues projected at different platforms with a commitment to bring in further improvement in the services. The DDC directed to submit a monthly report on the 108 ambulance services provided by health institutions in the district by tomorrow. He further instructed doctors to prescribe only generic medicines with names written in capital letters.
To rationalize staff, the DDC asked for proposing a rotation-wise system for underserved areas and instructed the cancellation of any staff attachments.
Reiterating the importance of meeting patient expectations, the DDC emphasized delivering quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services. He also directed the ACR Poonch to retrieve encroached land within the District Hospital premises.
The meeting was attended by ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR Mohd Sayeed, PO ICDS Khalid Hussain Wafa, CMO Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti, JPDCL, Medical Superintendent DH Poonch and other concerned stakeholders.
