Early Times Report
KATRA, Apr 18: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) continues its tradition of academic excellence with three students from the School of Architecture and Landscape Design excelling in the prestigious GATE 2025 examination.
Mr. Anirudh Gupta and Mr. Prajjwal Kumar Chaudhary, both 4th-year students, secured All India Ranks (AIR) of 305 and 322 respectively in the Architecture and Planning (AR) paper. Additionally, Ms. Samiksha Kushwaha, a 5th-year student, also qualified with an impressive AIR of 1729.
What makes this achievement even more commendable is the consistent performance of Mr. Prajjwal Kumar Chaudhary, who had also qualified in GATE 2024 with a rank of 930 while in his 3rd year.
These accomplishments are a reflection of the dedication, perseverance, and academic strength of the students and the quality mentorship provided by the faculty. Their GATE scores, valid for three years, open doors for postgraduate opportunities at premier institutes like IITs, NITs, SPAs, and others, with eligibility for assistantships under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Ar. Vinod Kumar, Faculty GATE Coordinator for Architecture at SMVDU, lauded the students for their hard work and determination, expressing hope that they will continue to inspire their juniors and aim even higher in the future.
The students have expressed strong motivation to further improve their ranks and aspire to earn the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) by maintaining high academic standards and engaging in quality research.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar, Head of the School of Architecture, Ar. Abhiney Gupta, and other faculty members extended heartfelt congratulations to the achievers, wishing them success in all their future academic endeavors.
This accomplishment not only brings pride to SMVDU but also underscores the university's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting academic excellence across disciplines.
