KATHUA, Apr 18: Jammu-Sanskriti School, Kathua, witnessed a heartwarming and grand celebration on Thursday as it hosted its Annual Day cum Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony titled "Saarang: The Magical Journey." The event was a significant milestone, marking the completion of the foundational learning journey for its youngest scholars.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, pride, and emotion as tiny tots donned graduation caps and took center stage, showcasing their talents with remarkable poise and enthusiasm. The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries. Chief Guest Mr. Surinder Paul Sharma (JKAS), Regional Transport Officer, Kathua, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Sona Gupta (JKAS), Assistant Commissioner, Enforcement, State Taxes Department, Kathua, added prestige to the occasion. Other esteemed invitees included Mr. Shammi Kumar, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, and Ms. Rohini (JKAS), Assistant Director, Handicrafts and Handlooms, Kathua.
The presence of Mr. Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairman of Jammu Sanskriti Schools, added further warmth and significance to the event. His continued guidance and visionary leadership were acknowledged with great respect.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the victory of knowledge over ignorance. A soulful rendition of Saraswati Mahastuti set the tone for the day's celebrations. What followed was a vibrant sequence of cultural and thematic performances by the kindergarten students, leaving the audience mesmerized.
Highlights of the event included mesmerizing acts like the Kathak Prayer Dance, Sacred Convergence - The Essence of Mahakumbh, Rhythms of Dogri, a joyful Giddha Celebration, and a high-energy Bhangra Spectacle. One of the most talked-about performances was the creatively choreographed act "From Satyug to Kalyug", which beautifully traced India's cultural and mythological journey through the ages.
Adding a deeply emotional layer to the event, a touching visual presentation was showcased, chronicling the memorable moments of the children's kindergarten journey. Proud parents watched their little ones graduate with radiant smiles and tearful eyes, cherishing every milestone.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the relentless efforts of the students, dedicated teaching staff, and supportive parents. Parents expressed special appreciation for Principal Mrs. Mili R. Sumbria for her visionary leadership, nurturing spirit, and commitment to holistic education.
"Saarang: The Magical Journey" was not just a celebration-it was a testament to the school's dedication to excellence, creativity, and cultural richness.
