Jammu police organizes free medical camp at border village Jeora farm

JAMMU, Apr 18: The District Police Jammu Police in Collaboration with Diva International Foundation successfully organized a free medical camp at Jeora farm,a border village on International Border(IB) as a part of its Civic Action Programme(CAP) , drawing an overwhelming response with more than 150 civilian patients mostly from the Gujjar Basti of Jeora farm and other remote villages receiving critical healthcare services.
The medical camp was Inaugurated by the SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS, SP Headquarters Jammu Sh. Irshad Hussain Rather-JKPS, SDPO R S Pura Sh. Gurmeet Singh-JKPS, SHO R S Pura inspector Sh. RS Parihar and Incharge BPP Chakrohi SI Majid Shafi remained present at event.
The initiative saw the collaboration between District Police Jammu and Diva International Foundation, NGO.The camp aimed to bridge healthcare gaps for farflung, underserved communities while fostering stronger ties between JKP and border residents.
The event provided free medical checkups, consultations, and medicines through a j team of doctors from various reputable institutions.
Patients from far-flung areas benefited from specialized care, addressing ailments ranging from chronic conditions to seasonal illnesses.
SSP Jammu emphasized the camp's dual objective: "Accessible healthcare is a fundamental right, and through such initiatives, we aim not only to serve but also to build trust and goodwill within communities." The program aligns with the Jammu and Kashmir Police's broader mission of citizen-friendly policing, confidence-building, and strengthening grassroots connections in farflung border areas.
The Civic Action Programme underscores the JKP's commitment to prioritizing public welfare alongside detection, prevention and Investigation of Crime. By addressing immediate healthcare needs and engaging directly with locals, the District Police Jammu continues to reinforce its role as a catalyst for social upliftment and communal harmony in the region.
