Mufti has always betrayed people of the state for lust of power, Sagar

Srinagar, Apr 10- Reiterating his party’s commitment for the overall development of the state, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats Ali Mohamad Sagar, while addressing public meetings at Koimoh in District Kulgam, said that NC always believed in settling the issues through dialogue and not by divisive politics as is being played by the PDP.
While referring to the National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s offer of talks with separatists, the Minister said that the NC have the long history of settling the issues through peaceful means and not to create hatred among different sections of society.
Reacting to the statements of PDP patron, Sagar said that every person of the state is aware of the political agenda of PDP which is based upon, dividing the people on the basis of religion and region. He said that it was during the tenure of Mufti Sahib as the Union Home Minister, various massacres took place in the state which include the un provoked firing on the funeral procession of the late Mirwaiz Farooq and other incidents at Gawkadal in which 72 innocent people were killed. “People are fully aware about sinister desire of Peoples Democratic Party who for the lust of power has always betrayed the people of the state and is fully exposed before the masses”, he maintained.
He said that the National Conference has always worked for development, peace and prosperity and upholding dignity and honour of the people of the state as well as respects to the human rights. “The efforts and acts of the young Chief Minister in bringing to book the culprits responsible for Bomai Sopore and Pukharpora are indicative of his commitment to protect human rights and zero tolerance” he asserted
Skina Ittoo MLA, Innayatullah Rather District President PCC, Kulgam and other senior functionaries of the Congress-NC also addressed these meetings.
