| Niaz cautions people against divisive, communal forces | | | Early Times Report Bhalesa, Apr 19- Former Minister and Congress candidate for Bhaderwah assembly segment Mohammad Sharief Niaz said that only Congress can protect interests of all sections of the society adding that Congress-National Conference alliance would complete its full term. Addressing series of election rallies at Jora, Charala, Helaran, Panchai, Bela, Guraikara, Zia, Jaroo, Shiva, Pasma, villages of Bhalesa area, Niaz said Congress has been seeking mandate of the people on the basis on the performance of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. He further said that development is the one and only poll plank of Congress Party. Niaz said that he has been contesting assembly election from Bhaderwah seat to complete the task started by former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. “During his short tenure Azad accelerated developmental activities in this belt”, he said and assured that with the support of Azad he will continue to work for the welfare and upliftment of residents of Bhaderwah and Bhalesa areas. Pointing towards problems being faced by the inhabitants of this assembly segment, Niaz assured the people that all villages of this area would be connected with the roads. Niaz further assured the people that if elected, he would ensure supply of water and electricity in every village and hamlets of Bhaderwah assembly constituency. Cautioning people against nefarious designs of BJP, Niaz said that instead of concentrating on developmental issues BJP has been trying to divide the people of communal lines to further its political interests. He said that people of Bhaderwah have already rejected BJP but this party is again tying to exploit sentiments of the people by raking up religious issues. The former Minister exhorted the people to give a befitting reply to those forces which have been trying to play communal cards for petty political gains. In these public meetings large number of the workers from PDP and BJP joined the Congress Party and expressed full faith in the policies and programs of the party.
