Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 20: In a significant step towards academic partnership and institutional growth, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground, Jammu, and Government Degree College (GDC), Bishnah. The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, Principal of GCW Parade, and Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of GDC Bishnah.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the presence of senior faculty members including Dr. Seema Malhotra, Dr. Kewal Krishan Manhas, and Dr. Vikas Dogra. Also in attendance were the IQAC coordinators from both institutions-Professor Dr. Surinder Parihar and Prof. Shrotika Rajput-underscoring the importance of quality assurance in academic collaboration.
The partnership outlines a comprehensive plan to enhance academic excellence through a range of initiatives. Key objectives include the exchange of teaching and learning resources, joint organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences, and mutual faculty involvement in educational programs. This initiative is aimed at providing enriched learning experiences and professional development opportunities for both students and faculty members.
"This collaboration is a meaningful step towards building a vibrant academic ecosystem that benefits both institutions," said Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo. Dr. Shallu Samyal echoed this sentiment, expressing enthusiasm about working together to broaden perspectives and expand learning horizons.
The MoU will be valid for a period of two years, during which both institutions are committed to realizing the objectives laid out in the agreement. This partnership is expected to foster innovation, academic exchange, and collaborative learning in the higher education space of the region.
