GCW Udhampur celebrates World Creativity & Innovation Day

UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: The World Creativity & Innovation Day was celebrated in Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur here on today by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The World Creativity & Innovation Day is a day dedicated to the spirit of creativity, progress, and transformation. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania motivated the students to think differently and come up with innovative ideas.
The session started with a welcome address by Dr. Preeti Dubey, Convenor IIC. She encouraged the students to enhance their skill to be self-dependent. The aim of the event was to imbibe the spirit of bringing change among students, who are the future innovators. She emphasised the students to keep ignited the spark within them to think beyond boundaries, to collaborate, to create, and most importantly, to believe.
Oshseen, who is the owner of Osheen Obsession and also an alumna of the college was invited to share her motivating story in the path from a student to a business owner. She emphasised on attained some skill and dedicatedly working on the path to achieve success.
The event was made successful by the support of the members of the Institution's Innovation Council(IIC) Prof. Rachna Bharti, Prof. Yash Paul, Prof. Pardeep Singh, Dr. Madhvi Bhardwaj, Dr. Sarabjeet Kour Sudan, Prof. Parwinder Kaur.
The committee members are dedicated to support student ideas to make way from the idea to entrepreneurship. Principal appreciated the committee members and encouraged to conduct such events frequently to nurture the idea of Atam Nirbhar Bharat. The event ended by vote of thanks by Dr.Madhvi Bhardwaj.
