JAMMU, Apr 22: Sarbjeet Hira, a talented student from Government Degree College (GDC) R.S. Pura, has brought laurels to his institution by securing a Certificate of Merit in the 2nd Annual Prof. Shailendra Singh Jamwal Memorial Debate Competition-2025. The event was organized by the Department of Student Welfare, University of Jammu.
Held on April 21, 2025, the prestigious competition drew some of the most articulate and insightful debaters from colleges and universities across the Jammu region. The topic of the debate, "Regulation of Social Media is a Threat to Freedom of Expression," sparked lively and thought-provoking discourse, where participants showcased their critical thinking, persuasive skills, and oratory prowess.
Sarbjeet impressed the judges and audience alike with his compelling arguments, confident delivery, and deep understanding of the subject. His performance stood out among the participants and earned him this distinguished recognition.
Principal Prof. Dr. Preetpal Kour, along with the faculty members of GDC R.S. Pura, congratulated Sarbjeet on his commendable achievement.
