| Engage a teacher to know history, Sagar tells PDP leadership | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 20- The war of words between the main political rivals National Conference, NC and the People’s Democratic Party, is growing murkier day by day. Reports reaching here said that NC leader Ali Mohammad Sagar on Monday criticized the PDP leadership for carrying out baseless propaganda against the NC leadership. Asking PDP leadership to engage a teacher to learn history, Sagar said that PDP has a bee in the bonnet to create hype regarding Sind Water Treaty and befool people in Kashmir. He said the treaty was signed by the Indian Government with the then Pakistan President Sadar Ayub Khan when late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was in jail. Sagar who was addressing National Conference workers in Srinagar said that PDP leadership should try to learn the historic perspective rater than issuing statements that will lead them to embarrassing situation. For being habitual of using vocal cards in an attempt to malign National Conference leadership by false propaganda, Sagar said that Mehbooba Mufti and her courtiers should study history and learn a lesson or two from the humble pie they had to eat recently in the Assembly for making false statements regarding Bandipore incident. “Though the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah punctured the PDPs balloon of lies by his dynamism and timely action revealing the real face of this party before the people, yet PDP has not shun the practice of perpetuating baseless and false propaganda for petty political gain,” Sagar said, adding that for the magnanimity of National Conference leadership the PDP member escaped the privilege motion for misleading the House and the people. Sagar said that since PDP has no agenda or program for welfare of the people. “The party has been exposed for the false promises made about providing two employments to each household and as such it has indulged in finding faults in others,” he added. Asserting that Anantnag would prove waterloo for PDP, Sagar said that the real face of the party has already been unveiled by its hidden agreement with BJP which came to fore during the election of MLCs to Legislative Council. “How brazenly it joined hands with BJP in this election is now an open secret,” he said. Sagar described PDP as an extended arm of BJP in Kashmir and said that this party has been created by the BJP to dance on its tone and safeguard the BJP interests in the two divisions of Jammu and Kashmir. The senior National Conference leader said that in fact fielding candidates in Jammu division by the PDP is another of its hidden attempt to divide Muslim votes and pave the way for BJP candidates. However, he said the people are wise enough to read between the lines and understand the divisive policy.
