CEO appeals eligible citizens for registration as voter in Nagrota, Budgam ACs

JAMMU, Apr 22: The Chief Electoral Officer Jammu & Kashmir has appealed the eligible citizens of the Assembly Constituency 77 Nagrota and 27 Budgam, to participate in the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the electoral rolls.
The SSR, which commenced on April 8, 2025, will conclude on April 24, 2025. With only two days remaining, till now in assembly constituency 27 Budgam and 77 Nagrota only 1069 Form 6 and 1575 Form 6 have been received respectively. It is crucial that all citizens who have attained the age of 18 years as on 1st April 2025 and are not yet registered as voter are once again requested to get registration as voter before 24th April, 2025.
Registering as a voter is a fundamental right and civic duty, enabling participation in the democratic process. Ensuring an accurate and up-to-date electoral roll is essential for fair and transparent elections.
All citizens who have attained the age of 18 years as on 1st April 2025 and are residents of Assembly Constituency 77 Nagrota or 27 Budgam and are not yet registered as voters, are strongly urged to register using the given methods. The eligible candidates can contact their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs), contact their respective Assistant Registration Officers/Tehsildar (AROs), Contact their respective Electoral Registration Officer/SDM/ACR (ERO) and can also apply online through the Voter Helpline App/ www.eci.gov.in./ Call 1950.
The citizen must provide required documents including proof of age and residence. They can use Form 6 for addition as new voter, Form 7 for deletion and Form 8 for shifting of residence, correction in existing enteries, issuance of replacement EPIC or request for marking as Person with Disabilities.
The EROs emphasized the urgency of this matter and requested all eligible citizens to utilize this final opportunity to ensure their inclusion in the electoral rolls.
