Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 22: Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, today conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 31 to take firsthand stock of the problems being faced by local residents. The visit was part of his ongoing outreach to strengthen the BJP’s grassroots connect and ensure prompt redressal of civic issues in his constituency.
On the occasion, Ex Depty Mayor Dharmveer Singh Jamwal, Sucha Singh, Ex Corporator, Arun Dubey Mandal General Secretary accompanied the MLA. During the tour, the residents raised serious concerns regarding the acute scarcity of drinking water and erratic power supply in the area. They also apprised the MLA of the insanitary conditions prevailing in the ward due to irregular garbage collection and poor drainage maintenance, which they said was adversely affecting their daily lives and posing serious health risks. Taking serious note of the grievances, Arvind Gupta immediately took up the matter with the concerned authorities of the Jal Shakti Department, Power Development Department, and Jammu Municipal Corporation. He directed the officials to resolve the issues on a priority basis, particularly with the summer season setting in and temperatures rising. The MLA has resolved most of the issues raised by the people during this visit. The senior BJP leader categorically stated that the authorities sitting at the helm are duty-bound to deliver basic amenities to the people and should not allow governance to falter due to inefficiency or negligence. “People have reposed their faith in the BJP and the Modi government. It is our responsibility to ensure that their issues are addressed promptly and effectively,” he asserted.
Arvind Gupta assured the residents that a timeline-based monitoring mechanism will be adopted to ensure that the water and power crisis is resolved and the sanitation system is streamlined. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and proactive in reporting civic issues so that timely intervention is possible.
Reiterating the Modi Government’s commitment to “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” he said the BJP will continue to serve the people with dedication, ensuring inclusive development and accountable governance at every level.
