| BJP exploring options to initiate legal proceedings against Dr. Farooq | | ‘Warns against making politically motivated statements’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 20- There seems no end to war of words between state BJP and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
On Monday state BJP spokesman Ramesh Arora went one step ahead and issued a stern warning to Dr. Abdullah to desist from such irresponsible statement otherwise BJP will be left with no other option except to initiate legal proceedings and also bring matter in the notice of Election Commission of India. "If Varun Gandhi can be booked under NSA why not case should be registered against Dr. Farooq Abdullah", he added.
Condemning politically motivated statement of National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah that ‘BJP-PDP is planning to return Jagmohan to abrogate Article 370, the BJP spokesman Ramesh Arora said that with the growing of age and being power hungry, Dr Farooq Abdullah has gone to this extent that he has crossed all limits of political ethics.
His allegation that Lal Krishen Advani has paid money to PDP is further totally irresponsible and unsustainable He is standing false, false and false only.
Arora who was addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here today, Arora said that Dr. Abdullah must understand that people are not fool and cannot be befooled by such misleading statements which are meant to provoke the voters of a particular community.
Arora while asking the NC President to maintain the morality of politics warned to desist from making such false, baseless and frivolous statement. He however, said that fear of shifting NC’s vote bank and growing popularity of BJP among the masses has caused this frustration. Arora said that BJP is not responsible if Congress has given conditional support for Chief Minister Omar Abdullah instead of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, this is the basic frustration.
"As far as BJP is concerned, we are committed for the abrogation of Article 370 and for total integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India and to abrogate it we will take support of everyone and Dr. Abdullah is also welcomed to join us in this drive.
