GDC Ramgarh organizes Quiz Competition

RAMGARH, Apr 24: In a commendable initiative to foster awareness about road safety among students, the Road Safety Club of Government Degree College (GDC), Ramgarh, organized a Quiz Competition under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol.
The event, designed to engage and educate students on crucial traffic rules and road safety measures, witnessed enthusiastic participation and aimed to instill a sense of responsibility in young minds. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol underscored the importance of road safety in daily life and emphasized the pivotal role of youth in spreading awareness. She urged students to be vigilant and law-abiding citizens to ensure their own safety and contribute to safer roads for all.
Dr. Snobar, Convener of the Road Safety Club, warmly welcomed the participants and attendees. She highlighted the significance of interactive platforms like quizzes in making road safety education both effective and enjoyable.
The competition featured four teams, each comprising two students. The quiz was conducted by Prof. Sandeep Kumari, who presented a series of thought-provoking and informative questions on road safety norms, traffic signs, and real-life scenarios. Participants responded with keen interest and showcased commendable knowledge and alertness.
Scoring and evaluation were meticulously handled by Dr. Susheel Kumar and Mr. Darpan Malhotra. At the conclusion of the event, Group 1-comprising Meena and Ruhi-emerged as the winners. Group 3, represented by Aryan and Rohit, secured the second position, while Group 2's Silvi and Vanshika bagged third place.
The event was graced by several esteemed faculty members, including Mr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Brham Dutt, and Priya Sharma, who lauded the initiative. They encouraged students to internalize the lessons learned and continue advocating for road safety in their communities.
The event concluded on a positive note, with a renewed commitment from both students and faculty to promote road safety awareness as a collective responsibility.
