MANDI GOBINDGARH, Apr 24: The Department of Business Management and Commerce at Desh Bhagat University came alive with celebration and energy as it hosted the much-anticipated event, 'Comienzo' - The Management Fest, followed by an emotional and joyous Farewell Party for the graduating class of 2025.
Symbolizing fresh beginnings and creative collaboration, Comienzo - a Spanish word meaning "beginning" - served as a dynamic platform for students to exhibit their business acumen and leadership potential. The fest featured a vibrant lineup of activities including business quizzes, marketing battles, management games, debates, and cultural performances.
The event was inaugurated by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, who lauded the department's continued efforts in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among students. Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti and Advisor to Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of such experiential learning platforms in shaping future business leaders.
As the sun began to set, the mood shifted to a more sentimental tone with the commencement of the Farewell Party for the final-year students. Junior students honored their seniors with soulful performances and warm wishes, while the outgoing batch reminisced about their journeys and shared dreams for the future.
Special recognitions added sparkle to the evening with titles such as Mr. Farewell (Jashandeep Singh) and Ms. Farewell (Sneha), Mr. Corporate (Lloyd Assat) and Ms. Corporate (Grace), Mr. Personality (Mohit) and Ms. Personality (Kasak), and Mr. Handsome (Rahul) and Ms. Beautiful (Mani).
Dr. Rajni Saluja, Director of the Department of Business Management and Commerce, extended heartfelt thanks to the organizing team, faculty members, and students for their dedication and enthusiasm, which led to the event's grand success.
