Reasi police intensifies fight against narcotics, seizes 4.33 Grams of heroin-like substance

REASI, Apr 25: In its relentless drive "Ek Yudh Nashe Ke Virudh," Reasi Police achieved yet another success in its war against drug peddling. A police party of Police Station Katra, during routine patrolling at Stadium Road Katra, intercepted a suspicious individual and recovered 04.33 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession during checking and frisking. The accused has been identified as Arjun Singh S/O Suram Singh R/O Kun-Drorian, Saraswati Chowk, Ward No. 2, H.No. 95, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
In this connection, FIR No. 115/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway to identify the backward and forward linkages of the drug network. This successful operation was carried out under the leadership of Inspector Khyatimaan khajuria, SHO P/S Katra, under the supervision of Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS, SDPO Katra, and Vipan Chandran, JKPS, SP Katra.
SSP Reasi, Paramvir Singh, JKPS, reaffirmed the district police's zero-tolerance approach against drug peddlers. "There is no space for drug traffickers in Reasi. They must abandon their illegal activities, or be prepared to face strict legal action," he stated, issuing a stern warning to those involved in the drug trade.
He also appealed to the general public to support police efforts by sharing information related to drug smuggling. Citizens can report such activities on the District Police Anti-Drug Helpline: 9070907017. The identity of informers will be kept completely confidential. Reasi Police remains steadfast in its commitment to building a drug-free and safe society through proactive enforcement and community cooperation.
