FICCI FLO JKL organises awareness talk on breast and cervical cancer

JAMMU, Apr 26: In a significant step towards promoting women's health FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, under the leadership of Aarti Chowdhary, organized an Awareness Talk on "Breast and Cervical Cancer" today at Amar Singh Club Jammu.
The Programme was organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club and Aman Deep Hospital Amritsar and was supported by Siba and Unnati Multistate Cooperative Society.
The event aimed at dispelling Myths and Misconceptions surrounding Breast and Cervical Cancer. This session focused on spreading crucial awareness early diagnosis, preventive measures and treatment options.
On this occasion, Priya Sethi, senior BJP leader and former Minister graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her address, she highlighted the urgent need for creating widespread awareness and emphasized the role of community engagement in combating cancer effectively.
The esteemed speaker for the event, Dr. Sheshank Mahajan (MBBS, MS, MCH-Surgical Oncology) Consultant Surgical Oncology from Aman Deep group of hospitals delivered an informative and interactive session. Dr. Mahajan provide valuable insights into the causes, symptoms and preventive strategies associated with breast and cervical cancer, urging women to prioritize regular screenings for early diagnosis.
Aarti Chowdhary, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL, in her address, thanked Amandeep hospital and Rotary Club and all the partners for their support in making the event successful and also thanked the media for helping spread awareness on such a critical health issue. She also stated that early diagnosis and timely medical interventions can save countless lives, and initiative like this awareness talks are crucial in building a more informed and healthier society. She also reaffirmed FICCI FLO JKL's commitment to empowering women not just economically, but also by ensuring their holistic well-being.
Among those present were FICCI FLO JKL Members, educators and students from partnering institutes from GCW Gandhi Nagar, GCW Parade, Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial GDC Hiranagar.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all dignitaries, partners and participants who contributed to making the event a grand success.
