JAMMU, Apr 28: One day Civil Defence awareness programme was organized at MAM College Jammu under the supervision of Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu. The awareness programme was attended by 300 nos students including NCC cadets and Staff. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR and other life saving techniques were given to the students by the Civil Defence expert. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defence team. The main aim of the awareness programme was to educate students with regard to preventive measures during natural or man-made disasters.
On the occasion Dy. SP. Zia Ul Haq , Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu ,delivered a lecture on the topic of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization. Ms.Archana Koul Principal of College appreciated and thanked the Civil Defence team for organizing the awareness programme.Sh Paramjeet Kumar, Chief warden Civil defence Jammu Sh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Sh. Sandeep Bhatt Sector warden CD, Jammu and other staff of the College also present on the occasion. |
