Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 28: As part of its ongoing initiative to strengthen Police-Public relations, the Jammu and Kashmir Police today hosted students from Trikuta Public Higher Secondary School Katra at Police Station Katra. The visit, organized under the guidance of SP Katra, Vipan Chandran, JKPS, SDPO Katra, Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS, and SHO PS Katra, Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria, aimed to familiarize the students with the daily functioning of the police force.
During the visit, the school children were briefed about various aspects of police work and taken on a tour of different offices and sections within the Police Complex Katra. Officers engaged with the students, discussing important topics including New Criminal Laws, the pervasive issue of drug menace, and emerging cyber fraud trends.
The police officers emphasized the crucial role of a strong Police-Public relationship in creating a drug and crime-free society. They encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and act as a bridge between the police and the community.
The visiting students were also provided with refreshments, making the interaction a positive and engaging experience for them. This initiative underscores the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to connect with the younger generation and build trust within the community.
