JAMMU, Apr 29: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, reaffirmed its commitment to student welfare and social responsibility by organizing a comprehensive Traffic Awareness Campaign under the impactful slogan, "Follow Rules - Drive Safe, Stay Safe!" The initiative aimed to foster a culture of road safety and responsible driving among students and the larger community.
The highlight of the event was the presence of DySP Traffic City South Jammu, Faisal Rishu (JKPS), who graced the occasion as the Guest Speaker. In his insightful address, he shared practical experiences and real-life incidents to emphasize the dire consequences of traffic rule violations. His speech served as a powerful reminder of the importance of following road safety protocols.
The campaign focused on sensitizing students about essential traffic rules and the significance of disciplined driving behavior. Key takeaways from the session included:
The necessity of wearing helmets and seat belts
Avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving
Obeying traffic signals and road signage
Saying a firm no to drinking and driving
Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school, expressed pride in the initiative. "Creating awareness among our young learners and the community at large is a step toward a safer tomorrow. It is our responsibility to instill not just academic knowledge, but life values that empower students to become responsible citizens," she remarked.
The event concluded on an inspiring note with all attendees taking a pledge to follow traffic rules and to advocate road safety within their communities.
Through such initiatives, Jammu Sanskriti School continues to go beyond the classroom, nurturing not only minds but also values and civic consciousness.
