Early Times report Jammu, April 21: The Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda, today sanctioned scholarships in favour of 33 school children of deceased police personnel, who have died due to natural and accidental deaths, for the academic year 2007, 2008 and 2009. This money has been drawn out of the Central Police Welfare Fund. While sanctioning the scholarships, the Director General of Police said that these students are presently under going studies in various educational institutions across the state in different classes from L.K.G. to class 10th. He said that welfare fund has been created for promoting the quality education among the wards of police personnel. He said efforts are on to provide better educational facilities to the wards of police personnel and it is responsibility of parents to ensure the quality education to their children to enable them to compete at various competitive examinations. The awarded scholarships are Ajaz Ahmed, Saima Kaunsar, Rahul Reshi, Meenu, Shazia Bashir, Ishrat Bashir, Bilal Ahmed, Ulfat Altaf, Majid Altaf, Sakshi Sharma, Shubam Sharma, Azira Jahan, Aqib Ahmed, Mir Shamas Jabar, Aamir Sheikh, Rehana Jabar, Ishfaq Ahmed, Urfi Jan, Raihana Rashid, Taseem Rashid, Mysooma Rashid, Saran Jeet Kour, Shakshi Sharma, Abhinandan Sharma Padha, Mysara Jan, Mohammad Murtaza, Avreen Kour, Ashveen Kour, Gumimat Singh, Tahir Mohammad, Ikhklaq Mohammad, Shabir Rasool and Shugfta Rasool.
