Early Times Report JAMMU, May 1: In a step toward strengthening academic collaboration under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), PSPS Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, hosted 45 students from Government Degree College (GDC), Bishnah for an interactive moot court session aimed at enhancing practical learning and inter-institutional engagement. The event began with a welcome address by Prof. Paramjeet Singh from the Department of Political Science, who highlighted the role of moot courts in fostering intellectual growth and holistic student development. A moot court case themed "Abrogation of Article 370 in the State" was enacted by students, with Arti Lakhotra serving as the judge and Mohd. Yasin and Nitish Dogra playing the roles of advocates. Participants delivered arguments and engaged in critical discussion before the judge pronounced the verdict. The session was met with great enthusiasm and keen observation by attendees. It was mutually agreed to continue such collaborative initiatives to offer students regular opportunities for experiential learning. The event was jointly coordinated by IQAC Convenors Dr. Yash Paul Sharma and Prof. Shrotika Rajput. The organizing team included Dr. Pooja Charak (HOD), Dr. Harmeet Singh, and Prof. Paramjeet Singh from GCW Gandhi Nagar, and Dr. Geeta Lakhotra (NSS PO), Dr. Kusum, and Dr. Ratika from GDC Bishnah. |
