Excise Department organises drug awareness Programme

JAMMU, May 2: On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Sh. Subash Chander Chhibber and under supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, Sh. Sanjay Bhat, ETO, City Excise Range North, Jammu Smt. Swati Gupta and with utmost cooperation of Principal , Smt .Anupama Sinha and management of K C International School Paloura City Excise Range, North, Jammu organised a Drug awareness programme and Poster Making Competition under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
About 50 students participated in the poster making competition and winners were felicitated on the spot.Apart from this An interactive session was conducted where resources person Sh Vikas sharma delivered the lecture and interacted with the students . The interactive session ended with felicitation and address of the chief Guest Sh . Sanjay Kumar Bhat Deputy Excise Commissioner. During the event, Principal, staff members of the school Jammu, ETO, City Excise Range North, Jammu Smt. Swati Gupta , Inspectors Excise Ms Renu Sharma, Dr. Sajad, Sh.Amit Sharma Sh.Yattinder Surmal ,Sub Inspectors Varun Kanathia, Kunal Parihan , Rishav Manhas and other Excise officials of City Excise Range North, Jammu were also present.
The primary objective of the event was to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage them to make informed choices. By engaging students in sports and creative activities, the Excise Department aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster a sense of responsibility among the youth.
The gathering appreciated the efforts of Excise Department in generating awareness among the students regarding ill effects of the drugs abuse and to motivate them to participate in different sports activities for their better future.
