Farewell accorded to CHO Bijbehara, Manzoor Ahmed

Anantnag, May 2: A heartfelt farewell function was held this afternoon at the River View Conference Hall, Anantnag, to honor Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, Community Health Officer (CHO), Medicine Block Bijbehara, who retired on April 30 after rendering an exemplary 37 years of service in the Health Department.
The event was presided over by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, Dr. Khalid Parvaiz, and was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. M.Y. Zagoo, Secretary, Red Cross Society Anantnag, Dr. Mohd Amin, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bijbehara, former BMO Dr. Bichoo, and other senior officers and staff members of the department.
Speakers on the occasion praised Mr. Manzoor Ahmed for his dedication, humility, and outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector. He was described as a “true diamond of the Health Department” whose remarkable service and tireless efforts significantly improved healthcare delivery in the district.
In his address, CMO Dr. Parvaiz commended Mr. Ahmed’s unwavering commitment to quality healthcare and called his legacy a source of inspiration for future generations of medical professionals. The officers present expressed their deep appreciation and extended their best wishes for a peaceful and fulfilling retirement.
As a mark of respect and gratitude, several gifts were presented to Mr. Manzoor Ahmed by colleagues and staff in recognition of his tremendous work and lifelong dedication.
The farewell concluded with emotional moments and warm wishes, highlighting the profound impact Mr. Manzoor Ahmed had on his colleagues and the community he served.
