Jammu, May 2: In a testament to their dedication and swift action, Jammu Police have successfully recovered gold worth Rs. 1.5 crore stolen from a residential house in Bakshi Nagar. The theft, reported on the midnight of April 29/30, 2025, involved approximately 1.5 kg of gold. Upon receiving the report, the police swung into action, utilizing technical and human intelligence to track down the stolen gold. A special team was constituted under the supervision of SP City North, Sh. Vivek Shekhar JKPS, and SDPO City West, Dr. Satish Bhardwaj JKPS. The team included SHO Bakshi Nagar Insp. Azad Manhas, Inspector Vikram Sharma SHO Janipur, Inspector, Vikas Dogra SHO bus stand, Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO, Nowabad, PSI Murtaza Rehman, SI Sunil Singh Thakur, PSI Vishal and others. FSL teams and sniffer dogs were also deployed to aid in the investigation and recovery. The team worked tirelessly, and their dedication paid off as they recovered the stolen gold within 48 hours. This remarkable achievement showcases the Jammu Police’s commitment to solving complex cases and bringing perpetrators to justice. The successful recovery of the stolen gold is a testament to the team’s synergy and expertise. The investigation is still underway, and the police are working to apprehend the accused.
