| Op. Sadbhavana on wheels launched by Nowshera brigade | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 13
To extend the reach of Operation Sadbhavana, in inaccessible and remote areas along LOC, Indian Army today has launched a campaign named “Operation Sadbhavan on Wheels”. This innovative concept revolves the Army’s role as a facilitator in development and progress and to enhanced, benefit to a large population by extending the reach of such efforts ‘On Wheels’ to inaccessible and remote areas. The Op. on Wheels was launched by Kalal Battalion of Nowshera Brigade today all remote villages between Nowshera and Beripattan were provided medical, dental and veterinary aid through mobile vans at their doorsteps. Two thousands saplings of mixed varieties were also planted by locals in ten villages in the area. Children of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Seri presented cultural events reflecting the rich heritage of the state. A mobile cinema screened motivation films for school children and lecturers on health hygiene and moral values were also conducted by mobiles teams. The response and enthusiasm of villagers to Army’s will to reach out to the people was very overwhelming and encouraging. The mobile teams based on composite and mobile aid mechanism covered an area of 100 square kilometers and benefited a total population of 11,000 villagers with in span of day light hours of the day.
