| Six gamblers caught red-handed by Samba police | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, May 4: Samba Police has apprehended six gamblers red-handed in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money to the tune of rupees 6300.00 alongwith two sets of playing cards, 06 Mobile phones and cash from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a Police team of Police Station Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot near Teli Basti Bari Brahmana and apprehended six gamblers while gambling alongwith stake money of Rs 6300.00, two sets of playing cards, 06 Mobile Phones and cash of Rs.780.00from their possession.
The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Mohd Khaleel S/o Lukman R/o Baga Charakl, District Doda, A/p Teli Basti Bari Brahmana 2. Surfraaz Ahmed S/o Mohd Din R/o Teli Basti Bari Brahmana Samba 3. Ibrar Hussain S/o Rashid Mohd R/o Sandi, Tehsil and District Jammu A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmana Samba 4. Neeraj Sharma S/o Sukhdev Sharma R/o Kharamadana Tehsil Purmandal Samba 5. Bir Hussain S/o Rashid Hussain R/o Teli Basti Bari Brahmana Samba and 6. Dilshan Malik S/o Shamas Din R/o Teli Basti Bari Brahmana.
Legal action under section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the said gamblers.
