| Two nabbed with heroin-like substance by Samba police | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, May 4: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered 7.50 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from their possession. A Police party of Police Station Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba during vehicle checking at naka NHW AIIMS, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02CT-3626 for its checking. During checking, 7.50 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the two persons riding on the said motorcycle. The drug peddlers identified as Mohd Mustafa S/o Soni Mohd. and Usman Choudhary S/o Yousaf Hussain both residents of Badhori tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba have been arrested and contraband item alongwith motorcycle have also been seized. A case FIR No. 45/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started. SSP Samba warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities and also sought the cooperation of people in this regard. |
