JAMMU, May 4: In a step aimed at further strengthening grassroots engagement and reinforcing the party's connect with the local community, senior BJP leader and General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, along with MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta, today convened a crucial meeting with delegations from Ward No. 41 and prominent members of the Kashmiri Samaj.
The meeting, held at BJP Headquarters in Jammu, served as an important platform for dialogue between the BJP leadership and representatives of the local population, especially from areas with a strong Kashmiri presence. Community members raised several civic and developmental issues and put forward suggestions regarding the upliftment and representation of their concerns in governance.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the gathering, reiterated the BJP's commitment to inclusive development and assured the delegations that their concerns would be given top priority. "The BJP remains dedicated to building stronger bonds with all communities, especially those who have been instrumental in the region's cultural and social fabric," he said.
Ashok Koul reiterated the BJP's commitment to ensuring the voices of the Kashmiri people are heard and addressed at every level. He emphasized the government's ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering displaced and resettled Kashmiri families, and pledged continued support in resolving their long-standing issues.
MLA Arvind Gupta highlighted his continuous efforts toward resolving issues faced by residents of Ward No. 41. He appreciated the active participation of community members and emphasized the importance of such engagements in ensuring responsive and transparent governance. "Our goal is to create an open and accessible interface between the administration and the people. Every suggestion shared here today will be taken seriously and followed up," he added.
The MLA further highlighted the Party's consistent efforts in maintaining a direct connection with the grassroots and ensuring transparent communication with the community.
The delegation members expressed appreciation for the BJP leadership's outreach and presented their concerns and suggestions.
The BJP leaders assured them that their inputs would be taken seriously and reflected in future policy decisions.
Among those who were present in the meeting included Brijesh Gupta, K.L Sharma, Rajeev Pandita, and other senior BJP leaders. Local residents, including Krishan Gopal Sood, Sukhdev Singh, Jagdish Seth, Jawahar Lal Koul, Sunny, Anuj Sharma, Sanjay Singh, Neelam Singh, Chaman Lal Sharma, D.K.
