Doors of Badrinath shrine open on Sunday amidst Vedic chants

NEW DELHI, May 4: The doors of Badrinath Dham have been opened for summer with Vedic chanting at 6 am on Sunday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished for the prosperity of the country and the state by doing the first Mahabhishek in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the opening of the doors of Shri Badrinath shrine. On this occasion, Chief Minister (CM) Dhami offered prayers in all the temples including Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, Adi Guru Shankaracharya seat located in the temple premises. About 15,000 devotees of the country and the world were present on the occasion of the opening of Badrinath shrine.
Chief Minister Dhami greeted pilgrims and devotees in Badrinath and also took feedback of travel arrangements from pilgrims. He said that efforts have been made at every level by the state government to provide better facilities for safe Chardham Yatra and the devotees. He also urged the devotees coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand to give full support to the state for Green and Clean Chardham Yatra.
CM Dhami took detailed information about the works of the master plan of Badrinath Dham from District Magistrate Chamoli, Sandeep Tiwari and also reviewed the construction works being done near the temple. He instructed the District Magistrate to get the work of the master plan done with quality on time. Expressing satisfaction with the travel arrangements at Badrinath Dham, he instructed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police to make strong arrangements for passenger convenience and security.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took information about the preparations for Hemkund Sahib from the District Magistrate and directed him to quickly arrange facilities for the travellers. He also inquired about the construction work of the under-construction bridge over the Alaknanda River in Govindghat. The District Magistrate was ordered to conduct a field inspection of the bridge construction work and to ensure that it is completed with quality before the journey. During this, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj of Jyotish Peeth, MLA Shri Kishore Upadhyay, Lakpat Buttola, newly appointed Vice-President of BKTC Vijay Kaparwan and Rishi Prasad Sati, CEO of BKTC Vijay Thapliyal, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, among others, were present.
