| Mankotia stages protest demonstration outside Raj Bjawan | | Panthers demand SPO, Constable Rank to VDC members | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 21- Jammu and Kashmir Panthers party president and Udhampur MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration outside Raj Bhawan seeking SPO and constable post for those village defence committee members who have completed at least 5 and 10 years of duty fighting militancy in Jammu region.
Shouting slogans against the state and the centre government for failing to do justice with the real force fighting militancy on the ground Panthers party chief Mankotia alleged that it is unfortunate the successive state governments and centre governments have failed to acknowledge the services rendered by these unsung heroes .
Mankotia said, we have demanded post of special police officer and constable for those VDC members who have completed five and 10 years of duty fighting militancy. Mankotia also gave an ultimatum to the state government to expeditiously look into the genuine demand of VDC members and regularize them in lieu of their self less services.
