Srinagar, Apr 21- Even if People’s Democratic Party patron, Mufti Sayeed disowned Azad’s tenure in government, State president, All India Youth Congress, Mohammad Amin Bhat Tuesday claimed that seventy thousand youth were recruited during congress’s term in last coalition government.
“The government of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for two and half years changed the developmental scenario in the state as we (congress) established 14 new degree colleges, 1000 road projects, 250 bridges. We provided employment to 70 thousand people,” Bhat said addressing a press conference here.
He said that Roshni Act was implemented in the state by the Azad, the former Chief Minister.
The youth president claimed that the congress government adopted a pro-active attitude in resolving the Kashmir issue. He said that a special package would be brought for the unemployed youth of the valley.
Regarding the delay in recruitment by various government agencies, the youth president blamed Public Service Commission for the holdup.
