| Keep away from the politicians nurturing falsehood.: Farooq | | | Early Times Report Jammu April 21, 2009:- Drawing parallel between Mr. L.K. Advani and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in befooling people by false statements, the National Conference President and former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah Tuesday said that the former hides the truth regarding Kandhar incident and the later tell brazen lies regarding Sindh Water Treaty. Addressing largely attended gatherings at Rajgarh, Batote , Kalwanta, Lati , Panchari, Sorigali and Bakkal in Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi Districts , Dr. Abdullah said that Mr. Advani’s statement about the release of terrorists in Kandhar incident is totally untrue. “I was the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir at that time and Advani asked me to release the jailed militants”, he said and added that Mr. Mufti’s attempt to malign National Conference on Sindh Water Treaty is a naked lie holding no waters as Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was in prison when the treaty was singed between India and Pakistan. Dr. Abdullah asked the people not to associate themselves with the politics of falsehood and keep away form the politicians who have made speaking lies their trait for power politics. Showering praises on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for his honesty, leadership qualities and capacity to steer the country successfully on road to all round progress, Dr. Abdullah said that under the leadership of Dr. Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister the country witnessed unprecedented progress in the fields of agriculture, education, rural development, road communication, health, science, technology, power and other core sectors. Speaking to the gatherings the Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Prithviraj Chavan reminded the people of the economic support extended by the UPA government for the economic welfare and reconstruction of Jammu and Kashmir added that UPA government shall ensure that the Centrally Sponsored development projects under implementation in the state get fillip. He said UPA government would also help the state in its pursuit to achieve new goals in the crucial sectors of employment, education, health, road communication, power and rural development for which the blue print of development has been made by the young and dynamic Chief Minster Mr. Omar Abdullah. He asked the people to vote for Ch. Lal Singh and contribute in the formation of Congress led UPA government at the Centre for larger interests of Jammu and Kashmir sate and its people. Addressing the gatherings at these places Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President J&K National Conference said that in order to double the pace of development in the all the regions of the state under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Omar Abdullah and to defeat the nefarious designs of the divisive forces who are hell bent upon to weaken the secular fabric of the state, people should come forward and vote in favour of NC-Congress coalition candidate. Ch. Lal Singh said that he had served the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially people of Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency with dedication and sincerity and during his tenure as Member Parliament he brought maximum number of Centrally Sponsored Schemes to the state ensured that the benefits of all the centrally sponsored schemes percolate on ground. “I will continue to work for the welfare of the people”, he said.
