| Manmohan is good but Advani is best : Uma Bharti | | | Sandeep Bhat Jammu, Apr 21: The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pardesh and Bhartiya Janshakti chief Uma Bharti who was on a two day visit to campaign for BJP candidate on the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat Nirmal Singh where she addressed a series of public meeting in Udhampur and Kathua yesterday. Bharti launched her new party in 2006 after a face –off with Advani. Earlier this year, she gave signals to rejoin her parent party and has since been propagating Advani as the prime ministerial candidate. After paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine today, Uma Bharti, while addressing the media persons in Jammu, she said that Dr. Manmohan Singh is good and honest man, but Lal Krishan Advani is more capable and suitable for the post of Prime Minister of the country. L. K. Advani has lead the party from the front she said and added that the person of his stature can only be the prime minister. She reiterated the BJP slogan to make Advani the next PM of the country. The firebrand leader is also trying to revive the Hindutva movement and was quite unequivocal in the the support of the agitation for transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). She further said that the people of Jammu showed unity during the agitation for transfer of land to SASB and should display the same unity in electing the BJP candidate. This is important for the victory of nationalist forces. Congress has been soft in tackling terrorism and revoked acts like the POTA, Bharti Said. Attacking the U.P.A govt on price rise, deteorating security environment, Terrorism, Naxalism and other issues, Bharti said that U.P.A has failed in delivering the justice to the people. She also attacked UPA government’s remarks on Ram Setu and filing of an affidavit in the court and added that those who say lord Ram was not existing are living in fools’ paradise. She praised the people of Jammu on leading the successful Amarnath land agitation which has given confidence among Nationalists and will work as a ray of hope for rest of the country. National interest is my first priority and will do everything for its sake, she said and added that her dream is to see Advani as the Prime Minister of India. She questioned that why Varun Gandhi was targeted for alleged hate speech and why not any action was taken against Sanjay Dutt for his alleged communal remarks. Why double standards being adopted by Mayawati govt, she questioned. She also attacked National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah for giving safe passage to Hazratbal militants and added, he has no right to say that Advani was responsible for Kandhahar episode. She further said, it was the pressure built by media and people of the country which forced the then govt. to take different stance on terrorism. Now people should support fully in tackling terrorism. On being asked about why her party not contesting parliamentary elections, she said that her aim to strengthen Nationalist forces and see Advani as Prime Minister. She said, anti-nationals, criminals and those propagating separist theory should not be allowed to contest. When asked why she is campaigning for Bhartiya Janta Party candidates when she has left the party, she replied by saying that in the interest of the country I am campaigning for BJP which will provide good governance. On being asked, which girl should Rahul Gandhi marry, Indian or foreigner, she replied, that I am not working in marriage bureau. She should optimism of winning both Jammu and Udhampur Lok Sabha seat.
