| Minor among 5 people killed, 9 wounded in landmine blast | | | Early Times Report Poonch, April 21 : At least five persons, including a minor, were killed and nine others were wounded, three of them critically, when a vehicle hit a landmine in Srunakote area of border district of Poonch. Reports reaching here revealed that a Tata Mobile, JK12-1795, hit a landmine at Sanglyni area, about 2 kms from Bafliaz, in Surankote area of Poonch district, this afternoon. The vehicle was carrying people from Surankote to Marah when the incident took place, sources told News Agency of Kashmir. Giving details, a senior police officer said that some local residents of Marah village had come to Srunakote and when they were returning back on a Tata Mobile, a lanmine blast took place at Sanglyani killing four persons on the spot and injuries to ten others. One injured later succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Ashiq Hussain (driver) son of Hakim Din, his nine year old daughter Anisa, Haji Muhammad Rafee son of Fayaz Hussain, Shaheen Akhtar wife of Javaid Iqbal all residents of Marah and Ghulam Ahmed son of Nazir Ali R/o Budhal. The injured were identified as Javaid Iqbal son of Lal Muhammad, Mohammad Majid son of Abdul Majid, Muhammad Bashir son of Din Muhammad, Muhammad Fazal son of Wazir Muhammad, Muhammad Hanief son of Khair Muhammad, Muhammad Hanief son of Sulaiman, Lal Muhammad son of Lal Hussain, Fozia Akhtar W/o Muhammad Mazhar and Muhammad Irshad son of Muhammad Shafi. Sources said that three injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College hospital Jammu in critical condition. While three passengers were undergoing treatment in a Military hospital, others were shifted to Poonch.
