Satish Sharma visits Pargwal displaced residents at Mishriwala

JAMMU, May 9: Minister for FCS&CA, Transport, Youth Service Sports, , Satish Sharma, today visited camp, where several families from Pargwal sector and other catchment areas have taken refuge following intense cross-border shelling. The shelling has forced many villagers from the border areas of Pargwal to flee their homes for safety, prompting swift action by the administration to relocate and house them at the Mishriwala relief camp.
During his visit, the Minister interacted with the affected residents, listened to their grievances and reviewed the facilities being provided to them. He expressed deep solidarity with the displaced families and assured them that the government stands firmly with them during this difficult period.
"The safety and dignity of every citizen is our utmost priority," said the Minister. "We are fully committed towards ensuring that those affected by the cross-border violence do not face any further hardship. I have directed the district administration to ensure all necessary facilities, including adequate shelter, food, drinking water, medical aid and sanitation are made available without delay."
The Minister also reviewed the relief operations and took stock of the arrangements made at the camp. He instructed the officials to maintain regular health check ups, proper sanitation and timely distribution of essential commodities. He asked the concerned to give special attention to children, elderly and women to ensure their specific needs are met.
He appreciated the swift response of the district administration, security forces and civil society volunteers who are working tirelessly to provide relief and maintain peace and order during the crisis.
