DIG JSK Shiv Kumar Sharma conducts security check in old city areas

JAMMU, May 9: In a proactive move to ensure public safety and strengthen community-police relations, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Jammu-Samba-Kathua, conducted a comprehensive security check in the old city areas of Jammu today. Accompanied by Sh. Vivek Shekhar, SP City North (JKPS), SDPO City Jammu, SHO Police Station City, and other police officers, the team visited several prominent areas including Panjtirthi, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazar, Mubarakh Mandi, Pacca Danga, Lakhdata Bazar, Kachchi Chawni, and Kanak Mandi.
During the security inspection, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma engaged with the general public, including shopkeepers, tourists, and senior citizens. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the public, police, and civil administration to ensure safety and maintain peace. He further advised the public to strictly follow the advisory issued by the authorities and to remain vigilant.
Addressing the public, he assured that Jammu and Kashmir Police is always available to support the citizens and stands with them during any challenging situation.
